Girls' Activities (Years 5 to 8)

Heathgrove's Club for girls include extracurricular activities for school-age girls from Year 5 to Year 8. These programs are run by volunteers (university students and young professional women) who also serve as role models and mentors. Activities are held fortnightly on a Saturday afternoon (3-6 pm). A four day summer camp is also offered to complement these activities.

The Heathgrove 2019 camp will be held at Log Cabin Camp, (270 Ascot Road, Creswick VIC 3363) from Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 January 2019. Girls in years 5, 6, and 7 are able to apply (2019 school year). The theme of the camp is "survival" and includes outdoor activities, team building exercises and more. The activities aim to help the girls develop three main virtues: resilience, optimism and service.

The Heathgrove Camp will be "Technology free" which means that no camper is to bring any technology (mobiles, iPod, iPad, etc) to the camp. Parents will be able to contact their daughters for emergencies through the camp director or by contacting the campsite on (03) 5345 2756.

At Heathgrove, we try hard to make our activities and camps affordable. Everything is run on a not-for-profit basis. As well as this, Heathgrove itself is a charitable organisation (Heathgrove Study Centre Building Fund) and a registered Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR). However, there are still many expenses associated with running the Club activities, and these expenses are covered by the activity fees.
